Dick Bock had released Latin material in the 300 series with X-325 featuring the Bobby Montez Orchestra. That release featured the Pacific Jazz logo. A second release of Bobby Montez tracks on X-328 carried the Pacific Records logo. The Pacific Jazz logo was used once more for a release featuring Olguita with Modesto’s Charanga Kings on X-336.
The Pacific Records logo was used again for the release of Olguita with the George Hernandez Orchestra on X-344 and X-345. The next releases following X-345 that carried the Pacific Jazz logo modified the number prefix to “PJX” for the next few releases before it was dropped and the prefix returned to an “X” with the release of X-350. The Jazz Crusaders release on X-352 as The Night Hawks used the Pacific Records logo. This release was not included in the Pacific Jazz Studio Sessions Mosaic set.
